The term "beach" really does not go with a city like "Toronto", but we do have several small ones around our lakes, and if you're lucky, you get to visit on a day when visitors are minimal. I love going to the beach at Sutton in the Fall, because there are barely any visitors and I get to take lots of pictures of the trees in their beautiful fall colors. However, for young kids, the term "beach" equates "sand + water = fun"; so I guess we had to try it out at least once this summer (but "I'll be staying inside the tent, away from the sun", I said this before our trip and I kept this promise to myself. I'm not going to waste my skincare / whitening products on one trip to the beach... NO WAY!).

| We were so excited! |
| The girls started their day playing in the sand. |
| Then Kate decided to do a "facial". |
| ... followed by Mackenzie. |
| Mackenzie was hauling this heavy bucket around, filled with water and sea snails. |
| Mackenzie fell into the water not long after she got in, so for the entire visit, she had to hold our hands and wouldn't go any deeper than knee-high. |
| Their beach ball finally found its true purpose. |
| Big sister Kate offered to let Mackenzie ride on her. |
| The girls offered daddy a muddy foot scrub. |
| Aww... sisterly love... you don't get to see a lot of that around here. |
| And I got to stay away from the sun when I'm not taking pictures... the best spot on the beach! |
