We were married July 7, 2001, so obviously this past July 7, 2011 was our 10 year wedding anniversary. We dropped the girls off at my parents' house for babysitting and off we went Downtown to have our anniversary dinner. I would've wanted to be able to squeeze in a movie, but we just couldn't leave the girls with their grandparents for too long. I guess when they're older, we should be able to; but until then, little Mackenzie is still too much work to look after.

| Our 10 year anniversary rings. Had them made especially on our visit to Hong Kong last year. |
Kenneth picked a French restaurant
Le Sélect Bistro on Wellington Street, just West of Spadina.

We are not really familiar with French cuisine, except ones I learned through French class at
Alliance Française. For our anniversary dinner, we ordered:
Tarte Niçoise, Soupe à l'oignon gratinée, Salade d'endives Bénédictin, Fricassée de Champignons, Cassoulet, and île Flottante. Here's their full menu: Le Sélect Bistro Dinner Menu.

I wouldn't say the food there was exceptional, because in my opinion, they weren't. But we liked the Soupe à l'oignon gratinée, and I liked the flavor of the blue cheese in the Salade d'endives Bénédictin. But is it a place that we will go back? Likely not, because parking and traffic is not very ideal. This is the problem with Downtown Toronto... it's a treat to go there occasionally (like once a month), but definitely not a weekly thing.
