Kaitlyn's Summer 2011 Wardrobe

Speaking of pampering oneself and looking pretty, I recently bought new items for Kaitlyn to wear this Summer.  When it comes to clothes shopping, it is really a headache, because it can get really hot during the Summer even though we are in Toronto, and a lot of people think that Canada is basically a cold country all year round.  There are quite a few short "shorts" and skorts in the market, but I really don't want my daughters to expose too much flesh, especially at Kaitlyn's age.  So I basically stick to moderately length-ed short pants and tank tops or short sleeved t-shirts.  Nothing spaghetti straps!  Let's take a look at the few items I bought last week:

I bought the outer white top, it's for tweens, so a bit large for Kate right now; but perfect if she wears a tank top within (it's too see-thru to wear without anything anyways).

I chose this for Kate.  At the moment of purchase, she wasn't too crazy about it, but once she wore it, she loved it.

Kate chose this herself, she said she loves the design, but I think it's the sparkles that sealed the deal.

I found this for Kate because it resembles a few of my tops which she claims she wishes she could wear.  And it looks great on her, especially with jean shorts.

I bought this for her to wear on hot summer's day.  But so far, such a day did not arrive yet (that's cause I bought it AFTER that horribly hot 45 degree Celsius day in July 2011!)

Kate picked this one out herself.  It came with a belt, but I think it looks better without, and less trouble for her too.

We all love this style at home (Me, Kate, Mackenzie), it may look plain from the front...

... but there's even a hood at the back.  I wanted to find one in my size, but to no avail.

A pair of shorts that can adjust the length.  Even at its shortest, it still does not qualify as those horrible "short shorts" that I fear.

Probably can't tell from this photo, but this pair of shorts is adorned with lots of costume diamonds!
